The faith representatives poured water into one vessel symbolizing a new life to the spirit of One Family under God. Imam Mohammad Ali Elahi and Hajji Jennifer Elahi represented the Shia Muslim community and Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi represented the Sunni Muslim community in this ceremony.
Dr. Hyun Jin Moon, Rev. Walter E. Fauntroy and Rev. Michael Jenkins were of the key leaders and speakers of this summit, whose inspiring and powerful presentations deeply impressed the participants of this historic gathering.
Prior to this Peace Festival in an interfaith conference at the Capital Hill Hyatt Regency Hotel in Washington DC, Imam Mohammad Ali Elahi representing the House of Wisdom in America, Sayed Zeinalabidine Shahrestani representing House of Wisdom in Canada, and Imam Faezi representing the House of Knowledge in Chicago- expressed Islam’s view on peace and justice.
