Islamic House of Wisdom Eid-Al-Fitr prayer!

A brief report of the Eid Activities at IHW and also photos from the occasion

 Members of the Muslim community gathered at the IHW to commemorate the Night of Destiny and Power.  After Dr. Abu Mohammad and Imam Elahi's lectures, sharing the blessings of Laylatol-qadr, supplications were recited by Sheikh Fadel Al-Khatib, Hajj Saied Ghazizadeh and a few other brothers.  It was a great spiritual experience and closeness to God through the powerful dua could be felt! The diversity of the faithful in combination with the supplications that were projected in both English and Arabic for all to follow along with the reciters added Great Spirit to the night. Concluding with sohoor, participants returned home in the early part of the morning with rejuventated spirits, hearts, and souls from the powerful night of prayers.

Region's interfaith efforts seek to counter cancer of extremism

The Islamic House of Wisdom (IHW), once more, has made the Muslim community proud and has proven that IHW is in the forefront of spreading the understanding among All Abrahamic and monotheistic religions in order to combat Islamophobia that has been prevalent in this country after 9/11.  So, on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, IHW hosted an Interfaith Dinner and Ramadan Iftar on Wednesday September 17, 2008.
