Q: Is there a heaven?
A: The existence of heaven is an enormous part of our belief system. One-sixth of the Qur'an is dedicated to the afterlife, including describing the heaven and health.
Q: I have a question. When a good Muslim dies, will that Muslim be able to know if he or she will be going to paradise? Please give me proof from the Quran and the Hadith, when answering my question. Salaam.
A: Only God knows exactly who may go to Heaven or Hell, but He had said in the Quran "If and do deeds of righteousness be they male or female and have faith, they will enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be done to them".(4-124)
Q: I heard recently, there's something that only a certain group of people will go to paradise. Regarding that, what's the number on both sides? If only one group will go, how many won't? I also heard that people who are left-handed are said to be cursed by God. What does that mean?
A: There is no base for any of these rumors in Islam. What the Quran says is that on the Day of Judgment, The final report of the believers would be given to their right hands, but it has nothing to do with the life in this world. So being left-handed or right-handed is the same in this life and has no effect on our eternal life.
