National Day of Prayer with Honorable City Religious & Political Leaders!
It was truly a pleasure to spend time with Dearborn Area interfaith clergy, Congresswomen Debbie Dingell, Mayor O'Reilly of Dearborn, Police Chief Donald Haddad, Judge Mark Somers and some members of the community to pray together like a family.
Rev. Fran, Rev. Colleen, Rev. John, Hajja Lila and many others shared beautiful prayers.
We have Imam Elahi's closing prayer to share with you!
" In the Name of God the Compassionate the Merciful.
Thank You God for guiding us to this gathering.
Please make every day of our nation, a day of prayer, a day of unity, a day of peace and a day of justice and generosity.
Bless our hearts with love and humility, our minds with vision and wisdom, our actions with courage and compassion, so we can travel this life journey under the light of Your love and Your Divine direction.
Lead us O Lord on the road of responsibility, so we can continue to raise our voice against the evil of ignorance, the sickness of extremism, the sin of segregation and racism, the hell of hypocrisy, warmongering and destruction, the insanity of oppression and occupation and the devil of deception and division.
Bless our nation with the gift of health, happiness and prosperity and free us from any mental, moral, social and physical harms and diseases.
Help this nation's political leaders to be ambassadors of peace, rationality, rule of law and care for this country and the rest of humanity.
O Lord bless our city and state and keep us all together, as one family during all times of sadness and happiness, tests and trials, tragedies and triumphs. Ameen! "
