Donating Blood Before Begin Ramadan, Hard to Donate Blood While Fasting Then! 

Tuesday, Imam Elahi stopped by at the West Middle School in Plymouth MI for blood donation, something he does periodically!

While some of Red Cross staff welcomed me with nice smile and respect, but out of institutionalization of Islamophobia in our country, some nurses while taking my blood, acted so cold, showing a sense of dealing with “Them” Others! Islamophobia is a disease for our society, the cure is more education, more engagement, more light!

We must overcome this division, hatred and ignorance not through taking but giving blood and demonstrating benevolence, brotherhood and empathy.
